Madhya Pradesh leg spinner Yogesh Golwalkar bowled a tight line to claim four wickets after Railways' skipper Sanjay Bangar and Amit Pagnis put up an opening wicket stand of 169 runs on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy match at Indore on Monday.
The visitors were 255 for the loss of five wickets when the stumps were drawn for the day.
Electing to bat, Bangar (63, 4x6, 6x2) and Pagnis (93, 4x13) gave a tough time to the hosts in the pre-lunch session, before Pagnis was caught by Madhya Pradesh skipper Amay Khurasia off Golwalkar.
Golwalkar struck again in the same over when he had T P Singh (0) caught by Rahul Bakshi.
Though Bangar, along with Siddharth Verma (17), took the score to 190 but Golwalkar denied them another partnership by bowling Bangar out on a fine delivery.
Verma was then bowled by Jitendra Likhar when the scoreboard read 238. Later, J P Yadav played a strokeful innings of 47 runs in 63 balls which included five boundaries and two sixes before being adjudged leg before wicket to Golwalkar.
