Punjab thrashed Andhra Pradesh by an innings and 95 runs on the second day of the four-day Ranji Trophy Elite Group 'A' match in Mohali on Thursday.
Trailing by 179 runs in first-innings, the Andhra batsmen again failed to tackle the penetrative bowling of Punjab medium pacers Gagandeep Singh (5 for 32) and Vineet Sharma (4 for 32) abd collapsed like a deck of cards for 84 runs in 33.1 overs.
Yesterday, Andhra were all out for 30 in their first innings.
The collapse was hastened when Andhra lost five wickets for just one run to slump from 75-4 to 76-8.
After the fourth wicket fell at 75, the next four wickets went with the total on 76.
Shahbuddin top-scored with 23 runs.
Gagandeep got ten wickets for 43 runs while Vineet Sharma captured nine for 35 runs to freeze the visitors in cold weather.
Earlier, Andhra did well to restrict Punjab's first innings total to 209 all out (overnight 141 for 3).
With this outright win, Pnjab have 11 points and next play Bombay in Amritsar from December 25.
