Hrishikesh Kanitkar's magnificent 180 and opener Dhiraj Jadhav's 132 put Maharashtra in a commanding position to take a first innings lead of 310 runs against Haryana on the third day of the Ranji Trophy Plate semi-final being played at Nehru Stadium in Pune on Tuesday.

Resuming at 260 for one, Maharashtra continued their domination over Haryana bowlers to record a massive 546 for seven in 165 overs.

Kanitkar demonstrated his amazing batting prowess when he amassed 180 runs off 343 balls studded with 19 hits to the fence. Also displaying brilliant batting, Jadhav scored 132 runs off 266 balls with 19 boundaries.

Not out batsman Satyajit Satbhai too contributed a useful 84 which included a six and 10 boundaries.

For Haryana J Sharma, A Mishra and G Vashist took two wickets each respectively while V Singh took one wicket.
