A six-wicket haul by Test discard Doda Ganesh helped Karnatka beat Rajasthan by 69 runs in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group 'B' cricket match at Jaipur on Wednesday.

Chasing a victory target of 328 runs, Rajasthan were all out for 258 to give Karnataka four points for an outright victory.

Ganesh, who had taken two wickets on Tuesday, added four more to his tally to finish with six for 91 while Venkatesh Prasad (2/48) and Sunil Joshi (2/67) shared the remaining scalps.

Resuming at the overnight score of 53 for 4, the hosts lost Anshu Jain after he had added just four runs to his tally.

But Rahul Kanwat (84) and Pankaj Gupta (58) raised visions of a fightback with a 132-run partnership for the sixth wicket.

However, both the players fell in quick succession after lunch to put the visitors in command.

Anup Dave (17) and Sumit Mathur (26 not out) tried to delay the inevitable putting up 35 runs for the last wicket but in vain.

With these four points, Karnataka took their tally to six from three matches while Rajasthan have four points from an equal number of outings.
