Following two washed out games in a row, it was no surprise to see Rajasthan Royals seek some divine intervention as they looked to get their campaign back on track in the ongoing Indian Premier League.
Some of Rajasthan's players including Ajinkya Rahane, Karun Nair, Pravin Tambe and Dhawal Kulkarni visited the Siddhi Vinayak temple to seek Ganesha's blessings ahead of their Mumbai home matches at the Brabourne stadium.
Firstly, they have a tough assignment against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium on Friday, May 1, followed by three home games on May 3rd, 7th and 16th at the Brabourne Stadium.
Rajasthan started off the tournament with a bang with five consecutive victories before they seem to have stuttered slightly and have also been unlucky with the weather.
They were edged out by Kings XI Punjab in the Super Over after the match had ended on a tie and were outclassed by Royal Challengers Bangalore by nine wickets in their match.
That was followed by two washed out games because of rain in Bangalore and Kolkata respectively, as Rajasthan slipped to second with 12 nine points from nine games.
