Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta had a lot to cheer about until her team's last encounter against Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League on Wednesday.
IPL: Mayank, Yuvraj help Delhi Daredevils end losing streak
The George Bailey-led Kings XI seemed invincible before Daredevils handed them a five-wicket defeat in Pune.
The bubbly Zinta is an ardent cricket fan and synonymous with Kings XI Punjab since the inaugural Indian Premier League season, in 2008.
More than the players she is the franchise's most visible face.
The 40-year-old Bollywood star, last seen in Ishkq in Paris in 2013, won’t be seen much on the field from now on as she is busy with dance reality show Nach Baliye 7, which she is co-judging with author Chetan Bhagat and choreographer Marzi Pestonji.
In a recent interview Zinta had said the IPL doesn't need her anymore.
“Now I just have to come and watch the game. The business is doing well, the team is doing well. Now doing this (Nach Baliye) or movie sounds exciting to me because I've been away from them for some time. I'm in a different space. I never thought that I would be so excited about judging a dance reality show."
