The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday named Sharad Pawar, its president elect, as the chairman of the Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee while BCCI president Shashank Manohar was named as a member of the Governance Review Committee.
The appointments were made as the ICC revised its committee structure.
ICC president David Morgan announced details of the committee structure for the next 12 months.
"In addition to the Cricket Committee, whose members were appointed previously, there are four other main committees, namely the Audit Committee, Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee, Governance Review Committee and the HR and Remuneration Committee," an ICC release said.
The committee structure will come into effect from October 25.
Birendra Agarwal, a London-based Indian was named as an independent member of the Audit Committee, which will be headed by New Zealand's Alan Isaac.
The rest of the committee will be made up of the ethics officer, Thandi Orleyn from South Africa, and another independent member, who will be nominated shortly.
The Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee, to be headed by Pawar, has Giles Clarke, Haroon Lorgat, David Morgan and Neil Speight as other members.
Dr Julian Hunte will be chairman of the Governance Review Committee, which will also have Peter Chingoka, Imran Khwaja, Shashank Manohar and Major General Sina Ibn Jamali as other members.
Samir Inamdar was named chairman of the HR and Remuneration committee, also having Arjuna Ranatunga and Jack Clarke as other members.
