Narine banned from bowling in international cricket

An independent assessment revealed that all variations of Narine's deliveries exceeded the 15-degree limit.

Sunil Narine West Indies mystery spinner Sunil Narine has been banned from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after his bowling action was found to be illegal.

An independent assessment revealed that all variations of his deliveries exceeded the 15-degree limit.

However, Narine might be allowed to bowl in the domestic circuit with the consent of West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

The off-spinner was reported for having illegal bowling action during the third ODI game against Sri Lanka at Pallekele cricket stadium on November 9. Narine can apply for re-assessment after modifying his action in accordance with the clause of ICC.
