Former India captain Sourav Ganguly picked mystery spinner Sunil Narine as the 'man' of the Indian Premier League's T20 tournament.
"There have been quite a few outstanding talents over the years. The first year threw up some domestic talents as Rajasthan Royal set the stage ablaze.
"But I think Sunil Narine; he has been the man of the IPL. His impact for the last 3-4 seasons has been unbelievable," Ganguly said about the spinner ahead of the opening ceremony of IPL-8 in Kolkata.
Representing Kolkata Knight Riders in the cash-rich T20 league, the West Indian has taken has 67 wickets from 47 outings in the tournament thus far.
The former left-handed batsman also praised the Board of Control for Cricket in India for making the IPL a success.
"It's done wonders for Indian cricket. The BCCI deserves accolades for setting up the tournament and making it successful. You can set up a tournament, but to make it successful like this you need special efforts," said Ganguly.
