Mumbai Cricket Association said it would prefer to host the Ranji Trophy final at Wankhede Stadium if their team makes it to the summit clash.

Mumbai are in a good position to qualify for the final as all they need is seven Services wickets on the final day to retrict the opponent to from crissng the 454-run mark.

With the match spilling over to the sixth day, as per the BCCI rules, whoever takes the first innings lead would enter the final, slated for January 26-30.

But in case the first innings is undecided, toss of the coin will be resorted to.

MCA joint secretary Nitin Dalal said they would try to get the Women World Cup match shifted from the Wankhede Stadium if Mumbai advance.

"If we enter the final we want to hold it at our stadium and not elsewhere. Why should we do so? We will ask the opening Women's World Cup match to be shifted to the nearby CCI," said

The opening Women's World Cup Group A game between India and the West Indies, is scheduled for January 31 at the Wankhede Stadium.

But with all Group B matches in the tournament having been shifted to Cuttack to avoid protesting groups like Shiv Sena targeting the Pakistan team, more grounds are available in the city to host Group A games.

The rescheduled fixture list of the Women's World Cup has not been finalised yet and neither has there been an official word from the International Cricket Council if all Group B ties have been moved to Orissa.
