Australia head coach Darren Lehmann has tipped Justin Langer to be his successor in the coaching role, claiming his former teammate is respected very highly.
Lehmann, who has a contract until mid-2017, said he believes Langer will be the next coach of Australia, adding that he should be very proud of what he has achieved in Western Australia, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Reflecting on Langer's talent, Lehmann further said one would be mad not to take the advice of one who played over one hundred Test matches.
He said Langer is respected very highly and would make a very good Australia coach, the report added.
Langer, a veteran of 105 Tests, has served as an assistant to national coaches Tim Nielsen and Mickey Arthur.
Moreover, Twenty20 domestic team Perth Scorchers have won two Big Bash League titles under Langer's guidance.
