The Kerala High Court on Friday sent a notice to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on a petition filed by cricketer S Sreesanth to lift the lifetime ban imposed on him.
The 34-year-old fast bowler was accused of spot-fixing during the 2013 season of Indian Premier League, but in July 2015, was acquitted in the case
This development comes after Sreesanth had approached the High Court on March 1. The next hearing in the matter is on March 5.
Sreesanth has also been denied a No Objection Certificate by the BCCI, which prevents him from playing in cricket tournaments.
The pacer has mentioned in his petition, that he was invited by Scotland's Glenroth Club for playing premier league there from the first week of April this year, for which the NOC from the BCCI was mandatory.
