Irfan Pathan became one of the younger players to play in a Test for India when he made his debut against Australia at the Adelaide Oval on Friday. Only 12 players younger than Pathan have played for India in a Test.

More significantly, the Baroda bowler is the youngest player after Chetan Sharma to open the bowling for India in a Test.
