A visibly disappointed Pune Warriors captain Yuvraj Singh blamed it on "poor fielding" which resulted in the sixth loss for the franchise in the Indian Premier League after Rajasthan Royals defeated them by six wickets.
"Today's loss was a result of poor fielding. If you drop catches of three of their main batsmen, it's difficult to win matches. Now we are in such a situation where another loss would mean that we are out of the competition. Not a great feeling though," skipper said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
When asked as to why someone like him who was hugely successful with his left-arm spinners during the World Cup (15 wickets) is not bowling, he answered, "During World Cup, I could only concentrate on my bowling. Now I have to look at other aspects of the team also."
Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne said,"Fantastic win for us. Very happy with the way the group came through. We have a good environment in our team. The youngsters can express themselves and are not afraid to ask questions. It has been a great experience with the franchise."
Reminded about Royals' whopping 15 wins out of the 19 matches played here, Warne replied,"It's good that we have won so many games over here and we would like to win the remaining games as well."
Man of the match Ross Taylor said that Ashok Menaria's big hits helped him get the pressure off his back as he went about the finishing job.
"Menaria's sixes took the pressure off me. It's always good to get a Man of the Match award for the franchise. There is still a long way to go in the competition."
