For the first time India won two Tests in the West Indies and registered their biggest victory on Caribbean soil.

The young Indian side, led by Virat Kohli, was always expected to emerge victorious against a West Indies team struggling to find players suitable for the longer format. But the hosts exceed all expectations in the second Test, holding on for a brave draw after batting out the whole of the final day with just two wickets lost.

The fourth and final Test was washed out with just 22 overs bowled in the five days.

Though they lost the No. 1 Test ranking to arch-rivals Pakistan, India will happily accept another series victory, as skipper Kohli later revealed.

Ravichandran Ashwin was India’s best player, contributing with both bat and ball. He emerged the new all-round hope the team has been so desperately seeking in the last so many years.
