BCCI president lauds Team India's 'stupendous' performance

Applaud the Indian Cricket Team!

India, the defending champions, were knocked out of the World Cup following a 95-run semi-final defeat to Australia in Sydney on Thursday.

While Dhoni landed in Delhi, Kohli, along with his Bollywood actress girlfriend Anushka Sharma, and five players besides Team Director Ravi Shastri, touched down at the Mumbai International Airport.

Anushka walked out of the airport hand-in-hand with Kohli. The NH 10 actress was attacked by the Twitterati for Virat Kohli's failure with the bat in the cricket World Cup semi-final against Australia. Kohli managed to score just 1 run in the semi-final against Australia.

"By tonight all others, who have remained behind, would be back in India," the Cricket Board sources informed.

The disappointment of a semi-final exit notwithstanding, Board of Control for Cricket in India president Jagmohan Dalmiya congratulated the Indian cricket team on its ‘stupendous’ World Cup performance, saying Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men put up an outstanding show.
