Former Pakistan pace spearhead Wasim Akram has called on his compatriots to win their next World Cup game or get ready to go back home early, following the squads stuttering start to the tournament.

VOTE: Who will win the 2015 World Cup?

Pakistan started their World Cup campaign on a bad note, having been well beaten in their opening two group matches -against India and West Indies.

Pakistan lost by 76 runs to arch-rivals and defending champions India, followed by an even heavier 150-run loss to the West Indies in Christchurch on Saturday.

Wasim claimed that he is very optimistic that Pakistan can win their next match, but insisted that if they don't then they have to go back home early.

Pakistan next face Zimbabwe in a must-win Pool B game on March 1, which Wasim warned would be a make or break for the team.

The pace legend said that the players must feel for the people who come to the ground in numbers and millions are watching back home.

Wasim was a key member of the Pakistan side that won the World Cup when the tournament was last staged in Australia and New Zealand in 1992.
