Pakistan veteran all-rounder Shahid Afridi said that the Misbah-ul-Haq led team has the ability and confidence to break the World Cup jinx against defending champions India in the much-anticipated upcoming clash at Adelaide on Sunday.

Shahid AfridiIndia have defeated Pakistan in all the five World Cup outings -- in 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003 and the 2011 semi-final.

The flamboyant batsman said his team was not disheartened by their poor record against India in the World Cup, adding that they had the confidence and the ability to surprise any team on any given day, the Dawn reported.

"I know it is a crunch game. But, both the teams know how to handle pressure. On our part, we plan to treat it as just another game,” said Afridi.

Shahid Afridi has already announced his retirement from ODIs after the World Cup and wanted to end his career on a high note. “We want to emulate the efforts of the 1992 World Cup winning team,” he said.
