The ICC approved Corey Anderson as replacement of Grant Elliott in the New Zealand's Champions Trophy squad.
Elliott exacerbated an injury to his left calf during a training session in Cardiff.
"The ICC has confirmed that the Event Technical Committee of the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 has approved Corey Anderson as a replacement player for Grant Elliott in the New Zealand squad for the tournament," the ICC said in a release.
Twenty-two-year-old Anderson has played three T20 internationals for the Kiwis.
