Sourav Ganguly was on Monday included in the 16-member East Zone team for the Deodhar Trophy scheduled to begin at various centres of the Central Zone later this month.
The team, led by Deep Dasgupta of Bengal, includes ten other players from the state, according to a release given after a meeting of the East Zone selection committee.
Three players from Jharkhand, and one each from Tripura and Assam have also made their way into the squad.
Following is the team (Players whose state is not mentioned are all from Bengal): Deep Dasgupta (capt), Rajeev Kumar (vice captain, Jharkhand), Sourav Ganguly, S B Sarvanan (Assam), Subhamoy Das, Abhishek Jhunjhunwala, Manoj Tiwari, L R Shukla, Timir Chanda (Tripura), S S Paul, Mihir Diwakar (Jharkhand), Sourasish Lahiri, Sahabaz Nadim (Jharkahand), S S Singh, Ranadeb Bose and Rohan Gavaskar.

The squad would leave the city on February 23 and play their tournament opener against South Zone on February 25.
They take on West Zone on Feb 28, Central Zone on March 6 before wrapping up their engagements opposite North Zone on March 9. The venues are Jaipur, Gwalior and Indore.
