ICC Appeals Commissioner Tim Castle will conduct a telephone conference with Ganguly and his representatives at 1930 hrs New Zealand time on Thursday, November 25.

Ganguly and his legal counsel Siddhartha Sankar Ray will participate in the telephone conference from New Delhi. The Board of Control for Cricket in India will be represented by UN Banerjee and ICC Match Referee Clive Lloyd will join the conference call from the USA.

The ICC's In-House Lawyer Urvasi Naidoo will be involved in the call in an administrative capacity.

Once the conference call has concluded, Castle will consider the evidence that he has heard from the parties along with the grounds of the appeal, match paperwork from Mr Lloyd and a video of the match.

He will then provide a written decision to the ICC which Naidoo will forward on to Ganguly, Lloyd and the ICC Chief Executive Malcolm Speed.

Castle is not expected to forward his decision until the day after the telephone conference at the earliest (Friday, November 26). The ICC has requested that a decision is provided in advance of India's second Test match against South Africa which begins on November 28.

The Appeals Commissioner has the power to increase, decrease, amend or otherwise substitute his own decision from that of the ICC Match Referee. The ICC Code of Conduct states that the decision of the Appeals Commissioner shall be final and binding.
