Wendell Rodricks outfits for Ganguly

November 02, 2004 15:43 IST

After suffering the ignominy of losing a home series to the Aussies and having to sit out of the third and fourth Tests, Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly may well have something to look forward to in terms of a new image makeover programme with top designer Wendell Rodricks.

Rodricks, who had been assigned by Ganguly's promotion company to help "enhance his personality" said he hoped to get back to work with the skipper after the Australia series.

"We have already given him a new hairstyle and hope to try on certain ideas in terms of his clothes and overall look," Rodricks told reporters on the sidelines of an event in Panaji, Goa on Tuesday.

"Sourav doesn't need too much of an image polish as such. He has a very positive personality which reflects in the way that he manages to keep his cool in the face of defeat. We are just aiming to improve the general look," Rodricks said.

Rodricks also said he had hoped to start a museum on Goan costumes to coincide with the International Film Festival which begins in Goa on November 29, but the project had to be put on hold as the government was unable to give him space as promised.

"I had been promised a space in the old Goa medical college complex, but since they are racing against time to finish the work for IFFI, I don't think I shall get any help from the government. I have definitely plans of starting the museum but they have been put on hold for a while," he added.
