England captain Andy Flintoff is doubtful for the second Test against Pakistan starting at Old Trafford on Thursday after experiencing further problems with his injured left ankle on Friday.
A statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said a decision would be made after Flintoff had visited a specialist on Saturday.
Flintoff missed the first Test which ended in a draw at Lord's on Monday.
The ECB statement said Flintoff had experienced some discomfort after bowling in Lancashire's four-day county match against Kent.
"A decision as to whether he is available for the second Test against Pakistan will be made following his visit to the specialist tomorrow," the statement said.
