England fast bowler Steven Finn is likely to be available for the third Test against India at Kolkata on Wednesday despite not bowling in the nets on Sunday.

A thigh injury has kept Finn out of the series so far, which is level at 1-1, but he will bowl on Monday as planned.

Steven FinnMeanwhile, the 83-year-old Eden Gardens grounds man Prabir Mukherjee has claimed the Test match will be played on a used wicket, and added he expects Finn to play in place of struggling Stuart Broad.

"My guess is England will make more changes than India. I expect Bell to come back in instead of Bairstow -- that is hard on him but Bell is back -- and I would expect Finn to replace Broad," the BBC quoted Mukherjee, as saying.

"I think India will revert to playing two spinners and two seamers, maybe with Sharma coming in for Harbhajan. It is winter here and the match starts at nine in the morning, which means a bit of dew around. I think even India like to see seamers," he added.

Finn took 4-50 in 16 overs during the England Performance Programme's victory over the DY Patil Academy last week, and if he is selected he is most likely to replace beleaguered England vice-captain Broad.
