After perusing the report on the just-concluded election to the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the Supreme Court on Monday disposed all pending petitions concerning the polls to the cricket body.
A bench, comprising Justice S B Sinha and Justice P K Balasubramanyan, said that in case of any grievance, the parties are free to approach courts with appropriate jurisdiction.
The court said that parties to the dispute before the court could obtain copies of the report from the Registry.
Former Chief Election Commissioner T S Krishnamurthy, who had been appointed as an Observer to conduct the BCCI polls, had submitted his report on the elections, conducted under his supervision.
Krishnamurthy had been given wide powers to settle all disputes, including validity of votes and eligibility of any candidate for any post, arising during the conduct of elections.
He had, however, been directed to give a detailed report within a week after the elections.
Besides giving reasons for his rulings on various issues decided during the election, the Observer had also been asked to provide the audio and video footage of the proceedings at the AGM to elect the office-bearers.
The court had appointed the observer during the hearing of petitions by various state cricket associations challenging the election process.
