Rahul Dravid is likely to be out of action for the next couple of weeks following a hair-line fracture to his right middle finger on the fifth and final day of the fourth Test in Adelaide on Monday.
Dravid sustained the injury when he was hit on the glove by a Brett Lee bouncer. The Indian middle order batsman received on-field treatment from physio John Gloster and decided to leave the ground early to be taken for an X-ray.
He spent the day using ice-cubes to heal the finger, but a final report is still awaited.
The Indian middle-order batsman, who has been ignored for the upcoming one-day tri-series, is expected to be fit for the home series against South Africa, starting in March.
