Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to play for the first time in the shorter version before his home crowd.
"The fans in Jharkhand can see Dhoni in T20 matches for the first time in Ranchi," Manoj Kumar, a JSCA official, said.
Dhoni, who played an ODI in Ranchi against England earlier this year, did not play T20 as CSK were not scheduled to play in Ranchi during this year's IPL.
Dhoni will stay in Ranchi till the completion of Championship League matches of the CSK.
They are slated to play against Titans on September 22 in their first match.
