Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Akram wrecked Warwickshire with a haul of five for 57.

At close of day 2, Surrey were 14 without loss.

Another Indian in the circuit, Dinesh Mongia scored 26 for his side in a Division two match against Somerset as Leicestershire scored 254 for the loss of seven wickets.

India skipper Sourav Ganguly is yet to come out to bat in Glamorgan's tie against Sussex though he bowled four overs of medium pace after Glamorgan won the toss and put Sussex in. He bowled a maiden and conceded seven runs.

All-rounder Irfan Pathan did not start for Middlesex against the Universities.
