Sunrisers Hyderabad crashed out of the Champions League Twenty20 after their last Group B match against Brisbane Heat was called off due to wet ground conditions.

The match was called off without a ball being bowled as heavy rains in the evening rendered the ground unplayable.

Earlier, Evin Lewis (70) and Darren Bravo (63) hit blistering fifties as Trinidad and Tobago registered a six-run victory over Titans via the Duckworth/Lewis method, in a rain-hit match.

Rain lashed the stadium towards the end of the first Group B match of the day between Titans and Trinidad and Tobago, creating huge puddles on the ground.

Even though the pitch was covered, the heavy downpour, which lasted for more than one hour, resulted in huge amount of water accumulating on the outfield which resembled like tiny lakes.

After waiting for an hour, the umpires finally called off the match after their first inspection at 2100 hrs.

rainFor Brisbane Heat the match hardly had any significance but the abandonment jolted Sunrisers' outside chance of qualifying for the semi-finals.

The Hyderabad outfit needed a big win against Brisbane to stay in the semifinal race after Trinidad and Tobago defeated Titans by six runs via the Duckworth-Lewis method in the first match of the day at the Sardar Patel Stadium.

Sunrisers ended second last in Group B with six points, while Brisbane will return home with the wooden spoon.

Table toppers Chennai Super Kings have already qualified for the last-four round from the group having won three out of as many games.

There is a two-way race between Trinidad and Titans for the second semi-final berth.

Both Trinidad and Titans have eight points apiece but the Caribbean outfit is slightly on a better position as it still has a match to go against Chennai Super Kings.

Titans, on the other hand, will be eagerly praying for Chennai to beat Trinidad to help their cause.
