England all-rounder Chirs Jordan is set to replace the injured Mitchell Starc at Royal Challengers Bangalore for the rest of the IPL season, according to reports.

Jordan, who featured in England’s World T20 final loss earlier this month, will leave county club Sussex immediately to link up with RCB.

The right-arm quick played in all six of England’s World T20 matches, taking five wickets and was impressive with his yorkers in the death overs.

Jordan’s inclusion in the IPL was welcomed by England's director of cricket, Andrew Strauss.

"We are happy to support Chris in his decision to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016," Strauss said.

"Participating in the tournament will be a good opportunity for him to further develop his white-ball skills and experience."

Jordan is the second addition to Bangalore's squad in the last week after South African left-arm chinaman Tabraiz Shamsi was called in to cover injured West Indian spinner Samuel Badree.
