Former India cricketers Anil Kumble, Pravin Amre and Lalchand Rajput made their respective presentations for the job to the BCCI's three-member cricket advisory committee, comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman on Tuesday.

After another round of deliberations to evaluate the candidates, the committee decided to submit its report to BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke on Friday morning.

"The Committee appointed by the BCCI for the selection of Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team met today to deliberate further on the options and possibilities based on the presentations made by the applicants.

"After detailed deliberations it was decided that they would further go through the finer details and submit their report to the Honorary Secretary of the BCCI on the morning of June 24, 2016," read a statement from the BCCI on Wednesday.

Kumble, Amre and Rajput were interviewed by Ganguly, Laxman and Tendulkar, the latter joining in via video conference from London, while former BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale -- the 'coordinator' of the selection process -- assisted the trio.

It was learnt that former India team director Ravi Shastri, the other high-profile candidate for the job, was away and interviewed via video conference.

The BCCI received 57 applications from both India and overseas, from which the list was trimmed to 21.
