The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to part ways with chief coach Jamie Siddons, just days after the national team failed to make it to the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

The BCB on Tuesday decided not to renew the Australian's contract.

"It has been agreed that head coach Jamie Siddons' contract, which expires on June 30, will not be extended," the Bangladesh Cricket Board said in a statement.

"We are really appreciative of Jamie's contribution over the last four years and the successes he has had with the national team. However, we feel the time is right to ring in changes in the team management and support staff."

Jamie SiddonsBangladesh, which co-hosted the World Cup along with India and Sri Lanka, made an early exit from the showpiece event after suffering huge defeats to India, West Indies and South Africa in the league stages.

The Australian took charge of the team in November 2007.

Bangladesh have also lost the first two one-dayers of the ongoing three-match series against Australia to concede an unbeatable 2-0 lead.
