Unhappy at being 'rested' from Australia's next two tri-series ODIs against Sri Lanka and India, pacer Ryan Harris warned that the break could have a negative impact on his bowling as he is not carrying any niggles that have been cited as the reason for it.

The fast bowler was rested by Cricket Australia, which claimed he was "showing fatigue" and "carrying some minor niggles". But Harris said none of it was correct.

Ryan Harris"I've had enough rest in the past with some of my previous injury problems ... I want to make it clear that I'm not (injured). I am fine," Harris told Courier Mail on Wednesday.

"I can understand how selectors are trying to preserve fast bowlers but, for me, resting is not great. Bowling is the best thing for me.

"A week off bowling can actually have a negative impact for me. I made it clear to them (CA) that I wanted to play," he said.

Harris has been off-colour in the series taking 2-128 in three matches.

Harris said he was "keen to play every game, but giving guys a forced rest is the way they are managing the team".

"Hopefully I can get back into the side after the next week or so.

"I haven't been bowling well and, of course, you don't want to rest when you haven't been playing that well. But I should try to look at the bright side, relax and have some time off."
