The 2016 Asia Cup trophy was unveiled in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The trophy was displayed by the captains of the participating nations.

Lasith Malinga, captain of defending champions Sri Lanka, along with India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of the host nation Mashrafe Mortaza and UAE captain Amjad Javed showed the trophy at the unveiling ceremony.

India play Bangladesh in the tournament opener that kick-starts in Dhaka on Wednesday.

This is the first time that the tournament will be played in Twenty20 format.
