Salman Butt and Yasir Hameed slammed half centuries as Pakistan beat World Cup runners-up Sri Lanka by 98 runs to win the three-match Warid Cup series in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
Pakistan scored 313 for nine in the allotted 50 overs and then dismissed Sri Lanka for 215 in 39.5, to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
The final match is on Tuesday.
Butt and Hameed put Pakistan in a strong position with a second-wicket partnership of 98 runs from 100 deliveries before both fell in successive overs to leg spinner Malinga Bandara, who had both batsmen caught and bowled. He ended up with figures of three for 56 from his 10 overs.
Butt led with an 81-ball 74 that was studded with 11 fours, while Hameed hit for 50 off 53 deliveries, including seven boundaries.
Pakistan, who won the first match by five wickets on Friday, consolidated their sound start with the middle and lower order chipping in with useful contributions.
Playing without key players Muthiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas and Kumar Sangakkara, Sri Lanka also missed the services of Sanath Jayasuriya and Lasith Malinga.
Skipper Mahela Jayawardene led Sri Lanka with 61 off 69 deliveries, including six fours and a six.
