Sachin Tendulkar celebrates scoring his 42nd Test century on day three of the first Test against New Zealand, in Hamilton, on Friday.

Tendulkar, who was in the 90s when Yuvraj departed, moved to 99 with a push through extra cover and reached his century when he took a delivery from outside off and flicked it to square leg for a quick single.
