Statistical highlights of the opening day's play in the first Test between India and New Zealand [Images] at Hamilton on Wednesday.

186 runs added by Jesse Ryder [Images] and Daniel Vettori [Images] -- highest seventh-wicket partnership for New Zealand against India.

3 Jesse Ryder became only the third Kiwi batsman to score a hundred in his debut innings against India after John Guy and Bruce Taylor.
