Younis Khan got his name into the record books after becoming only the 20th batsman (on 23rd occasion) to score a triple century in Tests.

His innings is the highest by any batsman against Sri Lanka, the previous highest being New Zealander Martin Crowe's 299 at Wellington in 1990-91.

More importantly, he became only the sixth Test captain, and the first from Pakistan to score a triple ton.

Besides saluting Younis' feat, rediff.com takes a look at the other players who scored a triple hundred while captaining their respective sides.

Younis acknowledges the applause of the crowd after scoring a triple hundred in the opening Test against Sri Lanka in Karachi.
