Reader Tapan Mehta sent us these pictures from Brisbane. 'My name is Tapan Mehta. I was at Myer Mall in Brisbane just before Christmas and we saw Matthew Hayden [Images] with his wife and three kids in the mall, on the same floor. They had this small Santa train and Matt went in to have a snap with Santa Claus [Images]. When he came out I requested him for couple of snaps which he very pleasantly accepted and then he went on praising my camera,' writes Tapan.
'After couple of snaps with myself he went to shake hands with my three-year-old son Het and asked him, "Do you like cricket?" Then he let me take a couple of more snaps with my wife. After that he was on his way with his family and I was on my way on the same floor.'
'After 10 minutes he came to the same spot where my son and wife were doing some craft work (pic No 3, below) organised for kids by the store guys. His kids and wife also joined in. His youngest son Joshua went to play with some toys in one corner and my son happened to go there. I asked my wife (Ami) to go and check Het and when Ami came back after 15 minutes she told me that Het and Joshua were playing together, and Matt asked my son in Hindi "Tera nam kya hai? (What is your name)".'
'He told my wife that he knows a few Hindi sentences and if he visits India a few more times he will learn a lot of Hindi. Then he asked my wife how long ws it since we came to Australia [Images] and all that sort of questions. He was very humble and a nice guy.'
Thank you, Tapan, for sharing these pictures!
