Dhawal Kulkarni restricted Australia [Images] A to 82 for three with a fine spell of two wickets for 22 runs on the first day of the three day unofficial Test match against India A in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

On a day the match was delayed by five hours due to a wet outfield following heavy overnight rains, Aussie Captain Simon Katich won the toss and chose to bat first.

Kulkarni, however, struck early packing off Philip Hughes for four runs.

Captain Katich and Adam Voges tried to resurrect the innings scoring 32 and 11 respectively. Marcus North and George Balley were unbeaten on 14 and nine respectively.

While Kulkarni claimed the wicket of Voges, Sudeep Tyagi removed a dangerous looking Katich.

Though it did not rain during the day, the poor weather took the sheen of the match and it was called off one hour ahead due to poor light.

The weatherman forecasts more rains in the evenings, further reducing the chances of a result after the tame draw in Bangalore.
