A five-member Sri Lankan cricket delegation will arrive in India next week to finalise a 40 million dollars deal with Indian Premier League [Images], the country's sports minister Gamini Lokuge said on Saturday.

"We want good relationship with India and our players have been released to play in the IPL," Lokuge said.

"We will negotiate the proposal of four million dollars to be paid annually to Sri Lanka [Images] Cricket and will depute a five-member delegation that will arrive in India on October 18," Lokuge said.

The minister said the delegation will be headed by Sports Secretary S Liyanagama and Sri Lanka Cricket Chief Executive Duleep Mendis while representatives from the Board and the Sri Lanka Players' Association will also be a part of it.

The Twenty20 [Images] Champions League, headed by chairman and commissioner of Indian Premier League Lalit Kumar Modi, has agreed to pay 40 million dollars to the cash-strapped Sri Lanka Cricket for sending its team for league matches for the next 10 years.

Lokuge said the Board of Control for Cricket in India has also agreed to send the national team to the island country to play matches at mutually convenient dates when there are no other games scheduled for the Lankan team.

India has also agreed to play another tri-nation series in 2010 which will bring in additional money to SLC.
