The victorious Indian cricket team landed back in Mumbai on Thursday after their three-month long tour of Australia.

The team, which reached Mumbai at 10.20am IST, was flown to Delhi in a special Kingfisher Airlines chartered flight where they will be felicitated at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium.

They will be welcomed at the New Delhi airport and then taken to a city hotel before the civic reception at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

The young Indian team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] outplayed Australia 2-0 in the best of three finals to win the Commonwealth Bank tri-series.

The BCCI on Wednesday said the planned trip from the airport to the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in an open-top bus has been cancelled.

The players will be felicitated by, among others, BCCI chief Sharad Pawar [Images] and Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Tejinder Khanna.

DDCA president Arun Jaitley informed that there would be free entry for the civic reception at the stadium and  gates would be opened at 1 pm.
