The Indian cricket team, led by skipper Rahul Dravid, on Monday arrived in Dhaka to play three one-day internationals and two Tests against Bangladesh.

India will play the first two one-dayers in Mirpur on May 10 and May 12 and the third match in Chittagong on May 15.

The first Test will be played at Chittagong from May 18 and second and final match at Dhaka from May 25.

Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Wasim Jaffar, V V S Laxman, Anil Kumble, Rajesh Pawar, V R V Singh and Ramesh Pawar, who are included only in the Test squad, will join the the team on May 15.

The team management informed that Dravid's recovery is satisfactory. The Indian captain was hit on his nose while practising on the penultimate day of the conditioning camp in Kolkata.

A scan was done on his nose and it was found to be "okay", team sources said.

However, if Dravid fails to recover in time for the first one-dayer then Virender Sehwag is likely to lead Team India.

"In case Rahul misses the match, seniority-wise, Sehwag should lead the side," Venkatapathy Raju, one of the selectors, said.

Dravid, in his interaction with the media after the team's photo session on Sunday night said he would be fit to play the first ODI on May 10.

He said all the players are looking forward to the series.

"I am looking forward to this tour in Bangladesh. I strongly believe that we have the capability to perform well and it is going to be an interesting series.

"I have told the players that the main challenge is to bring out our best performance. All the players are eagerly waiting for this series and I am sure they will prove their worth."

Dravid said they want to start on a positive note in their first assignment after the World Cup debacle.

"The Indian team's aim is not only to do well in Bangladesh. We also want to start afresh as we have a long cricket season ahead. We are to find our right rhythm from this tour itself," he said.
