The Indian cricket team has been fined for slow over-rate during the nine-wicket victory over Ireland in the one-day international on June 23 in Belfast.

Match Referee Alan Hurst of the Emirates Elite Panel imposed the fines after Rahul Dravid's [Images] side was ruled to be one over short of its target at the scheduled finish of the Ireland innings, an International Cricket Council statement said.

"In accordance with the ICC [Images] Code of Conduct regulations governing over-rate penalties, players are fined five per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount.

As such, Dravid was been fined 10 per cent of his match fee while each of his players received five per cent fines.

For such offences, the decision of the ICC match referee is final and binding.
