The start of the second Test between India and England [Images], at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, on Friday has been delayed because of a wet outfield, caused by overnight rain.

Umpires Simon Taufel and Ian Howell carried out a second inspection of the ground at 1245 local time (1715 IST) and, finding it still soggy, returned to say that yet another inspection will be necessary at 1400 local time (1830 IST) before deciding whether play will commence or not.
Meanwhile, there is a dark cloud hovering and the players, after engaging themselves in ligh practice, left the field.
The Indian team since reaching Nottingham have been hit hard by the weather. Their net practice sessions on the last two days was restricted to indoors because of the inclement weather.
The ground staff is busy trying to get the ground ready after the sun finally broke through the clouds much to the relief of everyone at Trent Bridge.
