Team 2003 versus Team 2007: Which is better?

Earlier this morning, we published a list of those 15 players we thought the selectors would pick.

It was done on the basis of five minutes of thought. The national selectors led by Dilip Vengsarkar, and aided by captain Rahul Dravid and coach Greg Chappell, met for over an hour this morning in Mumbai and picked that exact same team.

Which doesn't go to show that we can outdo Nostradamus; merely, that this team was in fact selected quite a while ago, at least in the selectors' minds; today was merely about formalising the picks.
