West Indies [Images] batsman Chris Gayle is the latest addition to Sachin Tendulkar's [Images] fan club after he described the Indian as 'league apart' from other players.

Gayle said Tendulkar had impressed cricket lovers across the world by his prowess with the bat over and over again and felt both -- the Indian and West Indian captain Brian Lara [Images] � 'have a special gift from God'.

There are several cricketers like Indian captain Rahul Dravid [Images] and many others who are great players but 'Sachin is truly great', Gayle said.

"Sachin and Brian have a gift from God. They are special, a league apart from other players," he said.

Veteran Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath had recently described Tendulkar as a 'player of class' and his captain Ricky Ponting [Images] said the Indian was a genius with the bat.
