Haryana's pace bowlers ripped through the Uttar Pradesh batting line-up to bowl them out for a lowly 178 in the second innings and win the Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match by an innings and 88 runs in Rohtak on Monday.

Left-arm pacer Sanjay Budhwar took 4 for 36 as Haryana shocked the defending champions to win the match inside two days.

Haryana captain Joginder Sharma claimed 3 for 32 to finish with match figures 10 for 60.

Meanwhile, his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Mohammad Kaif's day just got worse as he was out off the first ball for the second time in the match.

Earlier, Haryana, resuming on 227 for 3 posted a healthy 337 in their first innings in reply to Uttar Pradesh's 71 all out.
Sumit Sharma (126) and Sachin Rana (110) completed their centuries adding 221 runs for the fourth wicket. However, Rudra Pratap Singh's took 5 for 68 as the hosts lost their last seven wickets for 39 runs.
