Left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha claimed a brilliant seven-wicket haul to help Hyderabad gain a first innings lead of 32 runs and earn two points against Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy Super League match at the SawaiMansingh stadium in Jaipur on Monday.

Ojha (7 for 114) spun out the lower-middle order and cleared the tail as the hosts folded up for 353 in reply to Hyderabad's first innings of 385.

Hyderabad then piled up 279 for 4 in their second innings. Aambati Rayudu (110) and

Ojha (1) were at crease when play was called off.

Rajasthan, resuming at their overnight score of 347 for 8, needed 38 runs to level the score but the tail-enders fell to the guiles of Ojha.

Ojha claimed Mohammad Aslam (23), and then in his next over had Kabir Ali (49) caught by Ravi Teja [Images] to end the challenge of Rajasthan, who could add just six runs to the overnight score.

P Reddy (2-77) and N P Singh 1-55) were Hyderabad's other wicket-takers.

In their second innings, Hyderabad opener Ravi Teja (99) played a fine knock, hitting 14 fours off 131 balls, but was unlucky to miss a century by one run. He was caught behind while looking to cut Pankaj Singh.

Rayudu (110 unbeaten) was in fine nick and hit 13 boundaries and one six.

Pankaj Singh, Sumit Mathur and Rahul Kanwat got a wicket each for Rajasthan.
