Indian batsmen warmed up for the upcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka [Images], with all of them scoring fluent knocks in a friendly match at the cricket skills camp in Bangalore on Wednesday.
After helping themselves to a few runs, the batsmen opted to retire in the 20-over-a-side match played between Rahul Dravid [Images] XI and Virender Sehwag [Images] XI, on the penultimate day of the four-day camp.
Batting first, Dravid XI scored 197 for six, while Sehwag XI scored 83 for 3.
Sachin Tendulkar [Images] scored 23 with the help of four fours and also fielded for the complete duration of 20 overs, unlike yesterday when he took the field only for a few overs.
Suresh Raina outshone his teammates with the highest score of 35, hitting six fours, while Sehwag and Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] (3x4, 2x6) scored 30 each. Dinesh Mongia and Mohammad Kaif scored 29 and 25 respectively.
Yuvraj Singh [Images], who scored 16 (2x4), managed to pick two wickets as well and Sehwag also took one apiece.
Ajit Agarkar [Images] was dismissed by Yuvraj on 2 but he continued to bat. However, he could score only five more runs before being shown the door, again by the Punjab player.
Ramesh Powar [Images] scored 4 in his first stint but returned to score 20 more runs while Harbhajan hit 12. Irfan Pathan [Images] scored 10.
